DIY Brush Script Stationary

Hello and happy Saturday to everyone!

Today I'm sharing a fun diy tutorial (it's been so long since I've shared one of these!) I'm going to show you how to easily make your own brush script or faux calligraphy stationary. Perfect for writing letters to loved ones and penpals.

Supplies
Letter Sized Paper, paper trimmer, pencil and a Sharpie.

Instructions
- First, cut your letter sized paper in half (hamburger style) so that you have two pieces of paper approximately 5.5" x 8.5" If you like, you can also trim a little off the bottoms of your two new pieces of paper (I cut about an inch off of mine.)
- Use your pencil to lightly draw a greeting for your stationary, in cursive.
- Next, go over your pencil lines with a sharpie and erase any pencil lines that still remain afterwards.
- Finally, you're going to thicken the lines of your scripted greeting, particularly in the down strokes. You can thicken the lines everywhere for a brush script look or just on the down strokes if you want a faux calligraphy look for your stationary.

And "Voila!" There you have it. You've just created your own set of diy brush script or faux calligraphy stationary! I am so in love with these gorgeous little sets of stationary, I can't wait to write letters on them and send them out to friends and family.

And because I'm so in love with these pretty little papers, I've made this set of scripted stationary available in my Etsy shop if you don't want to make your own! You can easily download the file and print a ton of it for yourself, yah!

So what do you think? Will you be trying this diy out for yourself? How many of my blog friends still write traditional letters and mail them out to their friends and family?

xoxo,
Laura
