I Want to be Your Photographer

Did you guys know that aside from making accessories, being crafty and all of my various other adventures I share with you guys here, that I also take pictures?

My heart flows with happiness when I get to meet amazing new people and capture their relationship with one another. Family sessions and lifestyle portraits are amazing but I'm blown away every time I get to photograph a love session or a maternity session. I believe that recording your memories is absolutely essential.

If you want to see more of my photography work, check out my website and blog at:

An excerpt from my photography page:

I get my creativity from my grandmother. I don't know another person in my entire family to be more similar to me than her. I remember wearing a dress to school one day in 5th grade that I had hand sewn together from her quilting scraps. It was a disaster but I loved it.
She died when I was 12 and I don't have a single picture of her. All I have is an antique china set and memories. Memories I'm sure to slowly forget the details of over time. Like the way her hair went all the way down her back but she always wore it braided and pinned up. Or like the way she loved her God more than anybody I've ever known.
When I first picked up a camera, I wasn't sure why it mattered so much to me. Why I wanted to photograph every part of my life, every person whose ever passed through. As I get older I understand more and more why it matters. Because these people, the ones who touch our lives, who change us... they matter more than anything else.
The connections we make, the people we surround ourselves with- they are invaluable. And I want to remember. I want to remember it all. I want framed pictures and memory books, I want to be able to show my future children where I got my compassionate heart from. I want to look around my home and be filled with happiness, seeing all of those memories surrounding me. And I want you to be able to do that too.
I want you to remember these moments. Big and small. I want you to hold on to them, cherish them and be reminded of them every day. I want you to see the impact you have on the lives around you. To see how beautiful you are and how much you matter to people whose lives you've touched.
