New Website!
I am so excited to share that I've moved over to a new domain and have a brand new website! It's been a long and tiresome process, but so worth it. There are so many new and exciting changes happening and I can't wait to share them all with you!
The new website has interactive galleries of all my diy projects and memory keeping projects I've ever shared on the blog! So much fun! It's also the home of my blog now, so you won't be seeing any more blog posts over here on BlogSpot. Head on over to www.laurarahel.com to subscribe to the new blog and to check out all the awesome features the new website has! Thanks so much, everyone, for following along.

Accordian Style Mini Album
This post was originally shared on the Gossamer Blue blog. Today I'm finally sharing it on my blog. An accordion style love mini album! I was so in love with the pretty December Gossamer Blue kits, I knew I had to do something extra special with them. So I grabbed some of my favorite photos that I have with my boyfriend and got started.
I’m so smitten with this little mini album, I’ve decided to leave it out on our fireplace mantle for everyday admiration. And the December kits are so darn lovely, I’m even thinking about making a second.
What's your favorite style mini album?
xoxo,
Laura
The process was so easy! I used a 4×12 white cardstock as the base of my album. Then I folded the long strip of paper accordion style every 3 inches- perfect to fit in some tags, journaling cards and 3×4 photos. Unfolded, it is 21 inches long!
I used bits and pieces from the December Main Kit, December Life Pages Kit, December Life Pages Main Add On and the December Life Pages Add-on #3.

Remember to Have Fun
One of the terrible things about becoming an adult is forgetting to have fun. To let go of all inhabitations, make a fool of ourselves, stop worrying (about sharks in the ocean, breaking things in the house, being too loud;) and just BE. We forget how to just be who we are and have fun.
So here's a reminder. Just be. Let go of worry. Let go of rules and have a little fun. Here's to more slumber parties, pillow fights, cartwheels on the beach, chasing my dogs around the house, having the loudest laugh and being 110% me. Because you know what? The qualities that labeled me as "annoying" when I was younger- being loud, bossy, positive and overflowing with personality- are the qualities that make me charming, charismatic, a leader and a business owner, as an adult.
Somewhere along the way, we dull parts of ourselves that others don't like. We call it "growing up." Conforming to the rules, expectations and aspirations that other people have for us. But it's a lie. Growing up doesn't have to mean giving up parts of who you are. It should be about learning to be comfortable with who we are and using those defining qualities to our advantage. Let your light shine. Be who you are. And have fun.
Happy Hump Day!

Laura
PS. This is a very old photo of me, taken 6-7 years ago! Serving as the perfect reminder to have fun again.

Hiking in the Mountains Project Life Layout
Ready for another dose of adventure? Hiking through Mt. Lemmon in Arizona with my family last summer, I was sure to take SO MANY photos. Part of memory keeping is that it forces you to be intentional with taking photos and actually printing them. I love having that physical copy of my photographs, beautifully recorded so I can look back at later and share with family and friends.
I had a lot of fun with colors in these four pages. I added a post card I got a gift shop up in the mountain and also a leaf I collected during our hike. I love experimenting in my album and adding unusual elements to my pages like memorabilia. I'm not sure how many people would consider a leaf to be memorabilia, but it is for me!
The "Oh darling, let's have an adventure," card is from one of my favorite kits in my etsy shop, the Travel Edition kit. There are also a few other cards from that kit and the Everyday Moments kit in these pages. Simplicity makes my heart so happy.
I had just gotten the new Heidi Swapp Favorite Things
core kit the weekend I put together these pages and used a lot of the gorgeous journaling cards here. I love how seamlessly my kits mix and match with the project life kits I have in my stash. It makes for an easy and quick process when I put my pages together.
I'm so excited to finally be sharing all these layouts from my 2014 album. Hopefully I'll be all caught up on sharing soon! It feels so good to have finally finished my 2014 album and with it, my first full year of doing Project Life. Have you been able to consistently stick with a memory keeping system for an entire year? How rewarding was it for you to have all those memories recorded?

A Gorgeous Glitter Pocket
Y'all know that one of my absolute favorite techniques in Project Life, is to add gorgeous see through pockets, filled with glitter and sequins in my layouts. Today I'm sharing one of my all time favorite see-through pockets I have ever made! I used a combination of star shaped glitter
and beads that color coordinated with the greens I had in the layout's photos and journaling cards. Then I sealed the pocket with some of my favorite floral fabric washi tape!
I used the Inked Rose
kit from WRMK + the Midnight Edition
from PL.
I am so obsessed with this two-page layout + insert page. The colors, the sparkle, the photos of me and my sister walking around the neighborhood park, every single thing sings my soul's song. What's your favorite method to use in your layouts?

More Vacation Memory Keeping!
Remember When I said that there is nothing more beautiful than the night sky in the Arizona dessert? Proof below. When I see the night sky photo, I always think of the song "When You Wish Upon A Star," so I used some of my favorite simple alphas
to write "WISH" on the photo.
In these layouts I used the Roadtrip kit, the All Time Fav kit and the Travel Edition kit from my Etsy shop! I also used pretty cards from the Simple Stories Summer Kit
What kind of memories did you make last summer? I love how I was able to document simple things like snuggling the family dog and walking around the park with my sister in these layouts. It's the little moments all strung together that make up life, ya know?

Documenting Adventures with Project Life
One of the very best things about Project Life is that it allows us to document so many memories in such a small space. I'm so thankful to have a memory keeping system that works for me and works for my life story. I've got so many amazing memories to share with you guys over the next few posts!
I used this kit and this kit from my Etsy shop in these pages, as well as some other cards from my stash. I used some of my favorite thickers in this layout as well, these
